I created this for some of my students that were having problems with rhyming during our poetry week.
At the beginning I would try in a small group and then I would let them do it on their own. You could also leave this activity in a center for those that have mastered and understood the concept of rhyming.
On these pictures, the game is being played as a memory game. However, you could choose to do a matching game for younger children (so the activity doesn't take that long to finish).
At the end of the activity I would give this sheet to my students as an assessment or a proof of what we have been working on (in case I use this for an RTI group).
I created this activity in both English and Spanish. The English would be perfect for those in a monolingual classroom, but also for those in a Dual classroom OR for students who have started to transition into English reading.
