Master Facts with Xtramath

Practicing addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts CAN be fun!

I am beyond happy to be able to share with you a program I have been using for the last 3 years in my classroom - Xtramath. It started as a website where students could practice their math facts and now it is also available as an application for devices such as tablets or smart phones (the app is not free). The website is FREE! You can enroll as many students as you would like. All you have to do is set up an account, register your students and Xtramath automatically generates passwords for each one of the students. As a teacher, you can print letters to be sent home so that students can continue practicing. The letters are really detailed and explain in detail how to set up accounts at home. The letters are available in Spanish.

But it gets better. This year, Xtramath is making the program available in Spanish (hooray!). It is not up yet, but it should be in the next few months. There are many things I love about Xtramath, yet what makes it unique is that students are not competing against each other - each students is always trying to beat their previous score. Teachers have access to detailed information about each student and see what he/she may be struggling with. Teachers can also assign not only grade level specific practice but also challenge or extended time for those who may need additional support.

I really encourage you to try the program and play with it. I would love to hear what you have to say - because let's be honest...we could all use some xtra practice.

Abrazos,
Kelly
