Puzzles make a great independent learning station in the PK-K classroom. They can be used to reinforce literacy concepts, math skills, vocabulary, or to give students extra practice with academic content. My favorite type of puzzle for young learners are the self-correcting ones. This helps them be more independent as they can check their own work when they are finished.
